The Yarra Valley is at the forefront of elegantly structured, cool climate Australian Chardonnay. Our crisp, cool climate and flinty, almost mean soils produce wines that eschew our nation's reputation for over-blown, over-rich Chardonnay. This single vineyard chardonnay from the Sexton's own vineyard shows delicate nectarine, white peach, citrus and melon notes. Using minimal intervention, our winemakers allow these fine, intense characters to shine through. The Sexton vineyard has been planted to 7 clones of Chardonnay, originating from California, Burgundy, Champagne and Australia. The vines are managed according to biodynamic principles and are positioned on cool, low slopes, producing excellent complexity and persistence of flavour.
